irène elder z
weaving the light
Irène Zumsteg, Swiss by origin, is considered as a guardian for the wild soul and a contemporary shaman. She facilitates transitions and changes in life with ancestral healing arts. She accompanies people on pathways of beauty, towards their inner treasures and healing.
In her work, Irène connects visible to invisible realms, wilderness to civilisation, in order to weave webs of light. Since 2003 she has been available for shamanic healing sessions, workshops with small groups and individual retreats. In Mutrux, in the jurassic mountains of Switzerland, she created a place of healing and transformation in nature, which she passed on to a new guardian in 2022, before entering elderhood in the North.
Some features of her life: initially as a journalist, she researches during twenty years social matters and health politics in the German part of Switzerland and also teaches these disciplines to professionals. She simultaneously helds the role of a mother, fascinated.
In 1998, after her moving to the French speaking part of Switzerland, life puts her to the test and leads her to unexpected sudden experiences in subtle worlds. Guided by Spirit, she consequently commits herself to research and practice of sound, voice, words, the frequencies and vibrations of the human body and of the scripts of souls.
Years of shaping - with shamans, healers, mediums and scientists of different cultures – take her to the European roots of this ancient healing art: among others she graduates as professional Shamanic Practitioner in 2007 from the Sacred Trust in England. She goes on to deepen her experiences during a Sabbatical in the Southwest of England and to blend holistic medicine approaches and transpersonal psychologies in her practice. Every day offers a new teaching for her. She continues regularly to publish articles about existential questions, in German and French.
At the end of 2022, on one of her most intense pilgrimages, Irène Elder is led by the goddesses of destiny to a village by the sea in the Département de la Manche in France. There she creates a new home and new texts and continues to accompany people sporadically. As grandmother of two grandchildren, she marvels anew at the wonders of life.
